Harris' SNL's SNL cold open mirrors Trump's 2015 with Jimmy Fallon
Vice President Kamala Harris on the last episode of “Saturday Night Live” before Tuesday's presidential election had viewers on social media saying that the performance seemed similar to former President Trump's 2015 performance with Jimmy Fallon.
Harris appeared in the painting alongside her actress, Maya Rudolph, at the end of the film. In this painting, Harris appears as a reflection in a mirror to give advice to Rudolph's Harris.
“I wish I could talk to someone who's been in my shoes. You know, a black, south Asian woman running for president. Preferably from the Bay Area,” Rudolph's Harris mused to himself in an empty dressing room.
The vice president, who then appeared to be on the other side of the dressing room mirror, replied, “You and I both, sister.”

While some took to social media to praise the skit, others said the skit copied former President Trump and Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” in September 2015 when Trump was running for president.
“I knew the SNL sketch with Kamala Harris looked familiar…,” KVI Seattle anchor Ari Hoffman wrote on X. “Kamala continues her pattern of taking out Trump.”
Trump and his partner, Sen. JD Vance, have previously accused Harris of copying Trump's policies, such as not paying taxes on tips, increasing the child tax credit, while tossing around other policies to take positions more aligned with Trump's. than he had before.
One social media user said the sketch was “disgraceful” to Harris.

Some took to social media to say that the sketch was a “direct copy” of the one between Trump and Fallon nine years ago.
Despite the criticism, both Harris and Trump's sketches followed other “mirror” sketches Fallon also made with famous partners.
Fallon did a “mirror” sketch with Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger in 2001 on “Saturday Night Live.”
In March 2015, Fallon did this bit again with Mitt Romney, former governor of Massachusetts, president and current senator from Utah, before a political interview on “The Tonight Show.”
The Trump campaign, however, downplayed Harris' appearance on the show when reports surfaced of his “surprise” on Saturday.
“Kamala Harris has nothing of value to offer the American people, which is why she's living out her twisted fantasy playing with her friends the Saturday Night Leftists as her campaign moves into obscurity. For the past four years, Kamala's destructive policies have been unconscionable. They have caused grief and pain to all Americans, and President Trump will fix it,” spokesman Steven Cheung told Fox News Digital.

Brendan Carr, a Republican on the Federal Communications Commission, called the appearance “a clear and unequivocal attempt to evade the FCC's Equal Time rule.”
