Heidi Klum Reveals Her Unearthly 2024 Halloween Costume
The queen of Halloween has done it again. For Halloween 2024, Heidi Klum direct his extraterrestrial side.
Klum, 51, was shocked again Us for her out-of-this-world transformation on Thursday, at her star-studded Halloween party in New York City. For a spooky holiday, she's dressed in an ET costume with a husband Tom Kaulitz.
ET was a fictional character from the 1982 hit movie of the same name directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Henry Thomas as Henry and Drew Barrymore as Gertie.
At her Halloween party, Klum wore an ensemble with a hat and scarf, referring to the scene in the film that the beloved actress wore human clothes when playing dress-up with Gertie.
For makeup, Klum went all out, wearing a full face of prosthetics that make her look like a reptilian. Scales were attached to the face and neck, covering the nose. Klum's eyes appeared to pop out of the “neck” of the costume while the ET's head sat up.
Meanwhile, Kaulitz is also dressed as ET for the event, but without the bag, scarf and lipstick seen in Klum's outfit.
Klum teased her appearance earlier on Thursday, livestreaming on Amazon as she prepared for her annual party. In the stream, fans watched as Klum had prosthetics fitted to her face – an ordeal that lasted for hours.
Klum also teased a photo of herself holding up her thumb, teasing one of ET's signature gestures.
You told before ExtraTV that her outfit was from “a different planet” when she visited the Empire State Building on Tuesday, October 29. “It's not of this world and it's a couple's outfit,” she noted. “[Tom] such a good game because hours and hours of planning, installation, prosthetics. For me, it's fun because I love the art of it and I love the amazing people who can put all these implants on me.”
“I have an idea, I have an idea, I bring an idea to my team and say, 'Good luck figuring it out!' I try to do things that haven't been done before,” he continued. “It's not something I can buy in a store. It's tricky! I like it that way.”
Klum previously teased the details of her Halloween costume in October, giving Today a hint of what to expect.
“It's going to be foreign,” he said in an interview at the time. “And there will also be a lot of artificial things. I just think it's claustrophobic.”
