Hoda Kotb Happily Admits To Hiding In Her Car To Avoid Her Kids
Hoda Kotb she admits that she is hiding from him minivan to avoid domestic responsibilities.
Kotb smiled sheepishly as he chatted with her Today the hostel Jenna Bush Hager on the NBC morning show Wednesday, November 20 program.
“Have I told you that I love my van? I like it a lot,” said Kotb, 60.
“He is there [gone] You just want to hide from your children?” Bush Hager, 42, asked.
Kotb nodded his head and said the day before, “I moved out of my own house.” I sat outside and didn't go in. … But I was in the car. So I was holding and waiting. “
Kotb, who shares daughters Haley, 7, and daughter Hope, 5, with ex Joel Schiffmanhe said he finds it difficult to “do things” when he goes home, because “the minute I come in, I can't do anything.” I was doing my thing [in the car]I came in later.”

“You'll find yourself sitting in cars, listening to music, having some alone time,” said Bush Hager, supporting the solitude of Kotb's van. “And wait, he's like, 'Okay, maybe just one song.'
“Sometimes you need that time,” Kotb noted. “You're resetting. Then you are ready.”
Today fans have watched Kotb and Bush Hager exchange parenting stories and advice since the parent took over. Kathie Lee Gifford at the fourth hour of the show. Kotb, who has been with him Today since 2007, announced in September that he would be leaving in early 2025 after nearly three decades with NBC as a whole.
“I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at the age of 60, to try something new. This is the right time for me to move on,” Kotb explained at the time, citing his children as a major influence in his decision to leave and move on to another, currently unspecified role at NBC.
“My first reaction was from my gut and it was almost crazy. … I said, 'No, you can't go,'” Bush Hager said Today following the announcement. “You are the one I come to when I feel happy, when I feel uncertain. He is the one I came to and believed in me first. We have many managers and I love them, but this lady, on October 28, 2013 – I looked at her – she said, 'Hey, wanna come sit next to me? There's a place.'”
To replace Kotb Today With Hoda & Jenna is not selected, and the show will continue as is Today With Jenna & Friends on a rotating basis of guest hosts until a permanent selection is made.
Kotb recently agreed to E News! that he has no say in who will replace him. All he could do was give Bush Hager some encouragement to stand up for what he “felt right.”
“I said, 'Jenna, hear who you want. Feel what's right for you,'” he explained. “You'll know, because the only way it's going to work is if they have a vibe or not. Just a fun party vibe. It will not be forced.”
