How A New Mom Is Making The Holidays Magical For Their Kids
This Christmas, the The New Mother actors make the season more colorful for their children.
Before Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Leah Messer and more characters come together for the exciting 16th season of New Mother: The Next Chapter In January 2025, MTV stars are working hard to create unforgettable holiday memories for their children.
“One of our favorite traditions is our family movie night where we watch holiday classics with hot cocoa in hand,” Cheyenne Floyd shared only Us Weekly. “We also take time to give back by volunteering or donating to those in need. We teach children the importance of kindness during this magical time.”

Taylor Selfridge
In addition to celebrating with her family at the Disneyland Resort and Seaworld San Diego, Selfridge, 30, also made many happy memories at home.
“We always watch old Christmas movies together,” he said Us. “We bake a lot and this year we made our own decorations. I love lights basically everywhere in the house to make it feel magical. “
After everything was set up, Selfridge joked that he hoped his home looked “like the North Pole.”
Jade Cline
Between balancing her role as a real estate agent and salon owner in Indianapolis, Cline, 27, is all about family time.
“Our holiday traditions include a night of baking together with family and friends,” she shared Us. “My daughter Kloie loves making gingerbread cookies and homemade turtles. We also love going to the Newfields Art Museum winter lights every year.”
Mackenzie McKee
Before embarking on a vacation packed with celebrations in Florida, Oklahoma and Jamaica, McKee, 30, likes to shop with her kids.
“I like to give my kids $50 to $100 each and let them shop for each other,” he said. “I take them one by one and let them choose, wrap them and light them while watching their sibling open their gift. It teaches them that life is about giving and not always about receiving.”
Cheyenne Floyd
“The holiday season is all about making memories with my family,” Floyd, 32, shared Us. “We like to decorate the house together – from putting up the tree to hanging the lights and decorations.”
The fun continues in the kitchen where desserts are often made.
“Baking cookies is a must,” shared the host of the “Unfiltered Kitchen” podcast. “It's always fun to watch the kids make art with decorations.”
Leah Messer
As Messer's daughter, Ali, celebrates her new driver's license, this The New Mother the family will continue their annual traditions such as matching Ivy City costumes in front of the Christmas trees.
“Some of our favorite vacation times as a family are when we get to cook together, enjoy crafts and play games,” Messer, 32, said. Us. “And our little gingerbread house competition too!”
Maci Bookout
In Bookout's household, Christmas celebrations don't just last 24 hours. Instead, they go on for days.
“We have a Christmas movie night every Sunday and Wednesday night!” Bookout, 33, was exposed. “Popcorn and hot chocolate included! We also get ugly Christmas sweaters to wear every year!”
Catelynn Lowell
Before enjoying a white Christmas with her husband Tyler Baltierra, Lowell, 32, will make the season shine with some familiar traditions.
“To decorate the tree as a family!” tell us. “We always do Christmas pajamas, hot cocoa and a holiday movie.”
