The 2024 season was the first time since 2017 that Djokovic failed to win a Grand Slam title.

The 37-year-old Serbian made his dream come true when he defeated Alcaraz to take Serbia's Olympic gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games.

In an interview with an Italian publication Gazette dello SportDjokovic said he considers Sinner, Alcaraz and French Open finalist Alexander Zverev as three contenders for the 2025 Grand Slams and believes he can beat them all.

“I feel I can still play at a high level,” said Djokovic Gazette dello Sport. “Soni and Alcaraz have established themselves as two of the best players in the world, not forgetting Zverev.

“They will all be the ones to win Slam and other titles. However, physically and mentally I am ready to play my tennis again and I feel that I can challenge these guys, my experience can help me.”

Currently ranked 7th, Djokovic is training with former rival Andy Murray, who will coach him for the 2025 Australian Open. Working with Murray, Djokovic said he is considering playing more tournaments in 2025 than in 2024.

Before bowing out to Sinner in the semi-finals of the 2024 Australian Open, Djokovic had held the Melbourne major in his last five matches Down Under.

Djokovic owns a career record of 94-9 at the Australian Open, his best winning percentage at any major, and will aim to claim a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title in Melbourne next month.

“So next year I will play other tournaments and the Grand Slams will be my priority,” said Djokovic. “I will do my best to win, of course, if my body allows me.”
