Jackpot balloons to $1.22 billion
The Mega Millions jackpot has risen to $1.22 billion after no one hit all six numbers on Christmas Eve.
Friday night's drawing comes with a cash option of $549.7 million. If won, it would be the fifth largest in Mega Millions history, according to the lottery.
“We know that many people will receive tickets for Friday's drawing as holiday gifts, and what a gift it would be if you could get a $1.15 billion jackpot ticket,” said Joshua Johnston, Mega Millions executive director. The Consortium, said in a press release before the jackpot again increased to $ 1.22 billion.
The last time the Mega Millions jackpot was claimed was in Texas on September 10 when a lucky person won a $552 million jackpot.
The winning lottery numbers were drawn shortly after 11 pm ET on Friday and we have the results below. Did someone give you a billion dollars for Christmas?

How to play Mega Millions
To play Mega Millions, you must purchase a ticket. You can do this in a variety of places, including your local convenience store, gas station, or even the grocery store. In some states, Mega Millions tickets can be purchased online.
Once you have received your ticket, you need to select six numbers. Five of them will be white balls with numbers from 1 to 70. Gold Mega Balls range from 1 to 25.
If you're feeling particularly unlucky, or don't want to go through the hassle of choosing, you can request a “Quick Pick” or “Easy Pick.” These options allow the computer to generate random numbers for you.
For an extra dollar, players can add a “Megaplier,” which increases non-jackpot prizes by two, three, four, or five times. The Megaplier is drawn before the six Mega Millions numbers are drawn.
There are 15 Megapiler Balls in total:
