James Carville says Democrats couldn't get rid of the 'smell' of bringing back the police, wake up

Democratic Alliance strategist James Carville feels that Vice President Kamala Harris failed to make it on Election Day because Democrats could not shake the “smell” of the “reinstate the police” movement and wake up.

President-elect Donald Trump tapped Harris to take back the White House, leaving Democrats wondering where they went wrong. Carville, a former top media adviser to Bill Clinton during the 2024 presidential race, feels the Democratic Party has become too focused on “identity,” a term he uses because he doesn't like the word “insurgent,” according to the report. the New York Times.

“We're never going to get rid of the smell of it,” Carville told the Times, adding that “the police gave away the money” with “three stupid words in the English language.”

“It's like if you smoke your clothes, you have to wash them again and again. Now people run away from it like the devil runs away from holy water,” said Carville.

The Times added that Carville gave Harris “credit for being independent of her gender and race.”

Last week, Carville revealed that he was still trying to make heads or tails of the election results.

“I don't know what percentage of this defeat is because we didn't accept the message of change or keep something for a long time – you know, there was a mistake in our strategy and in our presentation,” said Carville.

Before the election, Carville predicted that Harris would win because Trump is “a stone a– nuts.”

“He's got more money, he's got more power, he's got a more united party, he's got better allies and he's a stone a– nuts,” Carville told MSNBC's “Morning Joe,” when asked why he thought the vice president would be the winner.
