Jane Seymour Feels 'Post-Traumatic Numbness' Post-California Wildfires
Jane Seymour is thankful for her safety after her home was destroyed by the California wildfires last week.
“I'm so grateful, I'm incredibly relieved,” Seymour, 73, said Us Weekly exclusively at the American Ballet Theater Annual Benefit in Los Angeles on Monday, December 16. “It's fun, you're kind of post-traumatic numb. It's like, 'Did that really happen?' And so it was.”
Many celebrities – including Malibu residents Cher, Barbra Streisand and more – they had to flee their homes as wildfires tore through the Southern California coast. One Hollywood star, famous actor Dick Van Dykehe was forced out a few days before his 99th birthday.

“Driving in Malibu and looking at all the burned remains is not fun,” she said. “But if we look at what could have happened, we were all very lucky.”
The actor is popular for his appearance in the hit western series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, which ran for six seasons in the 1990s. Seymour's portrayal of Dr. Michaela Quinn – a doctor who leaves Boston to seek entertainment – earned her a Golden Globe in 1996 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Drama.
After the show was canceled by CBS in 1998, many fans were disappointed and, decades later, are still yearning for a revival.
When asked if there were any plans for a reboot, Seymour replied, “Not that I know of.”
“I'm in the middle of my series right now, Harry Wild,” he explained. “So, we've been doing that, and I did a Christmas movie a few years ago as well Joe Lando.”
The actress did, however, tease that the two might meet. “So, people are trying to find more things for us to do together,” he said Us. “Whether it's Quinn or something else. We love working together.”
Although Seymour Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman Costar also got along, according to Seymour they didn't get along when they were filming the show because it happened right after dating.
“We didn't really talk to each other, outside of conversations or socializing for six or seven years,” Seymour previously said. Us in the 2019 interview.
Seymour went on to explain that the two “couldn't” be “together” in “real life.” Despite this tension, Lando later became his “best friend in the world.”
