Officially exes they ended their marriage on Monday, January 6, according to documents obtained by Us Weekly. In doing so, both parties “agreed to separate all assets and liabilities” to avoid further litigation and costs.
Lopez, 55, is keeping all of his assets and earnings from the date of their separation – April 26, 2024 – as well as half of their bank accounts. Affleck, 52, finds the same. According to the settlement agreement, they will also part with their $60 million mansion in Beverly Hills that is now on the market, but certain terms of the agreement are sealed.
In the divorce, Lopez keeps his clothes, jewelry and “various personal effects to himself, custody or control,” and all the assets he has “individually or through their associations. [Lopez] is a sole proprietor, member or shareholder.”

Meanwhile, Affleck is still holding onto his passion for the production company he co-founded, Artists Equity. Matt Damon in November 2022. The agreement says “he will pay, pay and hold [Lopez] harmless from all liabilities, claims, debts, actions, causes of action and/or tax liabilities related” to the company.
They settled their divorce through mediation in September. Lopez has asked to drop the name “Affleck” from her last name and return her legal name to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
An actress filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024. Instead of tapping a lawyer to send him the papers, Lopez sent them himself two year anniversary at the wedding of both Georgians, despite their separation date being months earlier.
At the time, a well-known divorce lawyer Chris Melcher suggested in discussion no Us that Lopez's decision to include a sans attorney “was intended to send a message that this is not going to be a fight.” Melcher pointed out that the two may have “worked too hard [the] problems before going public with the application.”
Lopez and Affleck share a long history. They met on the set of a box-office bomb Gigi in 2001 and became engaged in November 2002. They were headed down the aisle in September 2003, but set their wedding dates before the ceremony. They confirmed their separation in January 2004.
Sparks flew again when the couple – known as “Bennifer” – reconnected in May 2021 and got engaged again in April 2022. They exchanged vows in Vegas in July and hosted a second ceremony in Georgia the following month.
Lopez was previously married to her Ojani Noah from 1997 to 1998, Chris Judd from 2001 to 2003 again Marc Anthony – shared with twins Max and Emme – from 2004 to 2014. Affleck, on the other hand, was married to Emme. Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and they are raising their three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
In May 2024, rumors of marital problems began to circulate after Lopez and Affleck were not seen together in public for 47 days. Us he quickly confirmed that Affleck was out in their home.
