Jonathan Majors again Meagan Good they are engaged!
The couple, who have been dating since May 2023, announced their engagement on Sunday, November 17, while walking the red carpet at the Ebony Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles. Good, 43, flashed her wedding ring as she posed for photos with Creed III star, 35, in a social media video shared by Ebony via Instagram.
The actors confirmed their involvement in interview no E! News on the red carpet.
“[The] Ebony Power 100 is an event where we met in the bathroom, in the bathroom of single women,” Good shared with the outlet, explaining why they chose to announce their marriage at this event.
Good was previously married to a producer DeVon Franklin from 2012 to 2022.
Majors was convicted of third-degree assault and battery in December 2023, following a March 2023 arrest in New York.
I Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania the actor was arrested after allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Majors vehemently denies the allegations, but was eventually charged with assault and battery and pleaded not guilty. “He didn't do anything wrong,” his spokesperson told CNN at the time. “We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this.”
In April, Majors was sentenced to one year of domestic violence counseling. He must attend a 52-week, domestic violence program in Los Angeles, Variety report. There are future opportunities for his future sessions to become reality, but Majors must also continue with mental health treatment and provide updates on his progress. The judge also granted a permanent protective order between Jabbar and Majors. Violating the terms of his sentence could lead to him being arrested.
Good stood up to Major during his trial last year and in June, he was quick Us Weekly about how they helped each other navigate through a difficult time.
“I'm really proud of him,” Good said to himself Us at the New York Urban League's Frederick Douglass Awards Dinner. “It's been a year since I said anything, and how you handled it, how you grew up, how we learned to dance in the rain and how we learned to look to God first above all else.”
“He's someone I really like,” added Good. “Because of his heart, just because of the way he helped me grow because of his honesty, because of his laugh, and his humor and I can go on and on.”
“I don't want to cry, but you're my best friend,” Majors said Us. “I am 34 years old, who would have thought that this would be my friend. One thing I work for, fight for, sacrifice. You make me beautiful, as it sounds.”
