Jonathan Owens Kisses Simone Biles' Cheek Before Bear Vs. The Lion Game
Jonathan Owens kicked off the Sunday, December 22, Chicago Bears football game with his usual pre-kickoff kiss to his wife, Simone Biles.
Biles, 27, met Owens, 29, on the sidelines of Chicago's Soldier Field on Sunday afternoon before kickoff where she gave the Olympic gymnast some cream on the cheek.
Biles showed up to watch her husband's NFL team take on the Detroit Lions in a cozy outfit. She is wearing a black coat with a matching fuzzy bucket hat from Prada.
Glamorously, Biles rocked her hair into braids.
The gymnast and Owens have been married since April 2023 and often support each other's careers. For Biles, he's a fixture at Owen's NFL games, where they often share a kiss before kickoff.
Owens also likes to cheer on Biles at gymnastics meets, even getting special permission to skip a few days of Bears training camp to watch her at the Paris Olympics this past summer.
“It's not a big motivation you need to do, because you don't want to put more pressure on anybody,” Owens said to himself. Us Weekly in July. “I just tell him, 'Go do your thing, baby.'… As long as he's still there, on the field, give him a kiss and we'll go on our way.”
He continued at the time, “You get a different kind of focus whenever you have this one person to focus on. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being single, but for me, knowing myself, I've played a lot better since [meeting Simone]I just focused and locked myself away, you come home, talk about my day and play with the dogs, you know what I mean? That's just our thing.”
Owens has come a long way since he initially didn't recognize Biles when they ran into each other on Raya dating app 2020.
“[I] it has been open [Raya] a few days and you will appear. I'm like, 'Lemme see who this is,'” the NFL safety recalled on “The Pivot” podcast in a December 2023 episode. “I didn't really pay attention to gymnastics, so it piqued my curiosity. [and I was like]'I'll see what's going on.'
When they first met, Owens played for the Houston Texans, who are based near Biles' gymnastics training facility. After Biles and Owens tied the knot last year, they began building their dream home in the Lone Star State.
“For now, we have been waiting for a long time for it to be built, we will wait until it is over [NFL] it's entry season,” Biles said Us last month. “Right now, they're doing all the background stuff. Jonathan wanted a half basketball court, a barbeque pit, all the good stuff. We installed an indoor trampoline and a pool.”
Biles continued, “We have to close soon. I'm going to check it again in two weeks to see where we are, but we're almost there.”
