Kike Hernandez and Mariana Vicente Relationship Timeline

Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Enrique “Kiké” Hernandez knows a thing or two about baseball interactions.

Since being drafted in 2009 by the Houston Astros, the current Dodger now has two World Series under his belt – including a win in 2020.

But Hernandez is also known for working together off the field: the elite athlete is married to an actress, model and beauty pageant winner. Mariana Vicente from 2018.

Vicente, 35, was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1989. In 2010, she won Miss Universe Puerto Rico. She also placed tenth in the world at the Miss Universe pageant. His acting career has included credits such as: Scream Queens, Ozark, again American Horror Story.

The couple have supported each other in their respective careers during their nearly ten-year long relationship. Us Weekly takes a look at the couple's biggest moments.

2015

In the profile that appears Inside Marriagesthe couple explained that their relationship began in the same way as many of today's: on the Internet. After watching the movie Hot Tub Timer 2Mariana has a role in it, Hernandez found her and extended her hand.

“He found me on social media and sent a message congratulating me on my performance,” he recalled.

He responded, and they finally saw each other two months later. The MLB star said they knew they would get married one day. “She was as beautiful in person as she was in her modeling photos.

Six months after that, they started a romantic relationship.

2017

In July 2017, Hernandez proposed to Vicente while on vacation in Big Sur, California. She said that while she was filming their hotel room on Snapchat, she turned around and saw him proposing. “I turned around and he was on his knees,” said Vicente Inside Marriages. “Also, I got it all from that Snapchat video … that I accidentally deleted.”

2018

In December of the following year, the couple married in a ceremony held in Puerto Rico. “It would have been good for this practice thing to tell me there would be so much crying!!” Posted by Hernandez on Instagram alongside a variety of wedding photos.

2020

Hernandez and Vicente were going to be a family of three! In June 2020, the couple announced that they are expecting their first child. “IT WORKS!!!!!!!!! Bebé Hernández Vicente is coming soon!! #GirlDad,” Hernandez wrote on X, formerly of Twitter.

2021

Their daughter, Penelope Isabel, was born on January 15, 2021. Hernandez celebrated the occasion with an emotional post on Instagram.

“The day I was drafted I thought I was on top of the world, the day I made my first Big League game I thought nothing would compare, the day I got married I felt like the world stopped, the day we won the World Series I. I thought I had everything;” wrote Hernandez on Instagram, in the words accompanying the pictures of the newborn child. “NOTHING compares to the time I met my little daughter!! @marianavicente you are my hero!!! Las amos y las amare siempre!!!!

In 2021 there were also big changes for the couple, as Hernandez was signed to the Boston Red Sox, where they stayed for the 2022 season.

2023

It was back to Los Angeles – where Hernandez played from 2015-2020 – for a pair of stars in 2023, when Hernandez returned to the Dodgers. That December, the couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. “I have been married to my spouse for 5 years,” Vicente wrote in an Instagram post. “And it took him so long to grow facial hair,” he joked.

2024

In January 2024, the couple officially had a 3-year-old child, celebrating Penelope's birthday on the 15th. As Hernandez worked his way to the World Series, Vicente also continued his career in the fashion industry. In October, she launched a new fashion collaboration line with the Ecliptica brand. In an Instagram post, Vicente wrote that they were among the first artists he worked with in his career.
