Madeline Gaudreau Shares Matthew and Johnny's Thanksgiving Photo

Madeline Gaudreau misses her late husband, Matthewand brother-in-law, JohnnyWith thanks.

Gaudreau took to Instagram on Thursday, November 28, to share a cute throwback photo of the two brothers sitting on a couch β€” with what appears to be a few beers β€” holding hands.

“Happy Thanksgiving, both of you,” she said simply.

Johnny, 31, and Matthew, 29, died on August 29 when a drunk driver hit them while they were riding their bikes. Sean M. Higgins he is accused of driving erratically and impatiently, he ended up hitting the brothers at high speed and they died on the spot.

Evidence was presented showing that Higgins' blood alcohol level was .087, over the legal limit of .08.

“Last night we lost two husbands, two fathers, two sons, two brothers, two sons and in-laws, two nephews, two cousins, two family members, two colleagues, two friends but two amazing people,” the family said. a statement provided by a WBZ-TV reporter Dan Roche following the crash. β€œWe want to let everyone know that we are receiving your messages of love and support and appreciate your continued thoughts and prayers. We ask that you continue to respect and maintain privacy during this difficult time of grief.”

At her husband's funeral, Meredith announced that she was expecting their third child. She and the late Columbus Blue Jackets star also had daughter Noah, 2, and son Johnny, 8 months.

Last month, Meredith celebrated her baby shower with her upcoming arrival – a boy to be named Tripp – and posted photos of the event on Instagram. She wore a blue dress to the shower, with blue, white and beige balloons and signs that read, “A Little Piece of Heaven” and “Welcome to Our Baby Shower Matty & Madeline.”

Johnny's widow, Meredith Gaudreauhe was there and posted photos on his Instagram story on Saturday. “I got you. We got this,” he wrote about his photo with Madeline. “I'm proud of you. You're already the best mom.”
