Masie Peters he takes time to take care of his mental health.
The singer, 24, posted on social media that he will no longer join the country's star Kelsea Ballerini on his next trip. This is Ballerini's first field trip.
“As many of you know, I've been on the road a lot over the past few years, and the constant travel has taken a toll on my mental health,” Peters wrote in a post shared via Instagram and X. After thinking about this, I have made the difficult decision to step back now and focus on taking care of myself.”
Peters continued his heartfelt message to fans, writing that his decision to leave the tour was a difficult one.
“I really love playing shows and being with you all, so this wasn't an easy call: but I need time to recharge, spend more time with my family, and make sure the album is everything I want it to be,” he continued, adding, “Most importantly, I need to feel myself again as the best version of me when I walk on stage in front of you all.”
He ended his statement by thanking his fans, and apologized for the change of plans.
“Thank you all for your amazing support,” he wrote. “I apologize to those I have disappointed and I hope you will understand. I'll be cheering for kelsea from the sidelines — she's going to put on an amazing show and I'm so excited for her. I love you all.”
Back in October, Peters wrote on social media that he was excited to open for Ballerini, citing him as an early influence.
“The secret is out, I'm going on tour with Ms. Kelsea Ballerini next year,” he wrote on Facebook at the time. “Kelsea has been one of my favorite artists ever since I was a kid singing 'Love Me Like You Say' on my iPod, and wrapping the welcome map has inspired me and continues to inspire me every time I listen to it.”
The English singer had previously opened Taylor Swift during his Eras Tour, during a stop on August 19 in London.
Ballerini's tour will stop in 30 cities across the United States, and will begin on January 21, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He will be attending to promote his latest album, titled Patterns.
