Over the years, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has chosen a child celebrity to carry the torch during awards season and assist with the annual Golden Globe Awards.
The coveted title of Miss and Mr. The Golden Globes date back to 1963 when Donna Douglas and Eva Six were honored. The tradition of the child celebrity role, however, did not begin until 1971 Anne Archerwho became a successful actor in his own right.
To be Miss or Mr. The Golden Globes – or the Golden Globes Ambassador as it was renamed in 2018 – includes several responsibilities within the show. At every event, the Ambassador assists the presenters by handing out awards and escorting the winners to the stage.
Although many stars have participated over the years, the ambassador program was discontinued in 2021.
