Netflix Horror Comedy Series Brings Demonic Death Cult to High School

I have a confession to make. After watching (and totally loving) The babysitterI caught myself watching an episode of it, Babysitter: Killer Queen, because its reviews strongly suggest that it is lighter compared to its predecessor. This is where I admit that letting outside influence control my taste was the wrong decision to make because Killer Queen it's a worthy sequel that shouldn't be overlooked if you're basing your viewing choices on Rotten Tomatoes scores alone.
Past is Introduction
in 2017 The babysitter a poignant teenage comedy with a simple premise that is impeccably executed. The story follows Cole (Judah Lewis), a high school freshman and outcast who falls in love with his sweet, understanding, cool, and oddly attractive babysitter, Bee (Samara Weaving). When his parents go out on the town at night, Cole is excited to know that he will be spending the night with Bee.
That is, until Cole learns that Bee is the secret leader of a Satanic death cult that needs a virgin's blood to fulfill his deal with the Devil to become the best version of himself. Each member of the bee colony represents your normal Breakfast club archetype character as there will be in the context of slasher comics. With these hyperbolic caricatures of goths, jocks, and cheerleaders, Cole is horrified, and it's easy to compare. I wouldn't be wrong in my opinion of this film because it is so shamelessly self-aware that it wears the tropes on its sleeve with pride. Each competition in between Killer Queen it's gamified, and in some places there are even health bars that hover over each character as they brutally strip each other so the viewer knows the outcome in no uncertain terms.
Babysitter: Killer Queen it was written off by critics as a dumb sequel that tried to be too big, but got dumbed down as a result, resulting in a critical score of 46 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Although I was initially skeptical of the expansion of the franchise, I wonder if anyone remembers how ridiculous it is. The babysitter it had its original delivery.

If you're looking for a slasher with a little substance (and a lot less style), maybe Babysitter: Killer Queen it's not the right movie for you. But if you loved the first movie, there's no reason I can think of to stop you from watching the sequel.
