He continued, “I was diagnosed with ADHD. Even when I was a child it was dyslexia, but just knowing that I am neurodivergent, I always knew.”

On the “Cultural Counselor” podcast earlier this month, Cannon said he had identified almost all the “markers” of narcissistic personality disorder. He told People that he accepts his diagnosis and is working to improve himself.

“I feel like there's a lot of labels out there, but it's like, I can accept it and say, 'Look, I'm fine. I need help. Show me,'” he said. “I just embraced mental health and therapy in a very strong way. Being able to say that I am a role model for others, but also have healing during self-care also works. “

According to the Mayo Clinic, narcissistic personality disorder is when “people have an irrationally high sense of their own worth.” It can affect a person's career, relationships and finances, according to the Mayo Clinic.

“I took all the power out of the word narcissism because I've researched it and I understand it,” Cannon said on the “Cultural Counselor” podcast. “Call me whatever you want… now if I didn't know what it was, I'd be in trouble.”

Last month, Cannon opened up about her insecurities during her marriage Mariah Carey.

The former couple – who share twins Moroccan and Monroe, 13 – were married from 2008 until they finalized their divorce in 2016 (although they split in 2014), and according to Cannon, 44, she had trouble living in the shadow of Carey's fame. .
