Plane crashes at Naples airport early Wednesday: What you need to know
The small plane went down shortly after taking off from Naples Airport in early Jan. 1.
Airport officials reported on Facebook around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday that Bonanza Flight 36 had to land “and we thank all four people on board for leaving the flight.”
“Several buildings at the airport have been destroyed and the airport has resumed normal operations,” the post said on Facebook.
A photo of the Naples airport shared on Facebook shows the cockpit and right wing of a small plane next to a building with damage to an exterior wall.
The Beechcraft Bonanza 36 is a single-engine, six-seat airplane that has been in continuous production longer than any other airplane in history.
