Reggie Bush Is A Big Breakfast Fan – And So Is His Family
Reggie Bush and his family who love the most important meal of the day.
“We like to eat breakfast in this house,” the former New Orleans Saints player, 39, reveals exclusively to the latest magazine. Us Weekly while developing his collaboration with Modelo. So pancakes, scrambled eggs and cheese, hash browns, grits – I love grits!”
Bush added that grits are her comfort food, adding that she will never pass up an opportunity to indulge in porridge.
“Anything with grits, I'll eat it,” quipped the retiree.
Bush and wife Lilit AvagyanHe married her in July 2014, and they have three children – Briseis, 11, Uriah, 9, and Agyemang, 7. At home, Bush credits his wife for making delicious family meals.
“My wife is the one who cooks here in the house and she cooks [amazingly]. He holds it down,” he said with a burst of emotion. “I swear to God, you are a wonderful cook.”
Although Avagyan, 36, makes many “good” dishes, one of Bush's favorites is his bayou seafood pasta. If he ever had to choose his last meal, that particular seafood bayou pasta would be his choice – over another cornbread.
Bush agrees Us that he is always impressed by the way a professional dancer can handle any type of food in any situation without breaking a sweat.
“One of my favorite things about my wife is when it's Thanksgiving [or] It's Christmas dinner and we have a lot of family, he will cook dinner by himself,” he said. “I've posted videos of him cooking all kinds of food, but it's amazing how it's gone wrong [the kids and I] there are.”
In addition to making many of her favorite dishes, Bush also credits Avagyan with encouraging her to try new foods, including things she didn't like growing up.
“I didn't eat sushi at all. My wife found me, she changed me from that when we started dating,” he joked. “I was like, anything green, I don't touch it. If it wasn't cooked, it wasn't even on the grill. I don't touch it.”
However, Avagyan was able to convince him to taste it and now sushi is a “common food” for them.
“We like to go to our little places and eat sushi rolls and, different things like that,” he explains. “And that was one thing that was new to me when we started dating.”
