Fighting

  • Russia's Defense Ministry says it has captured the village of Dachenske, south of Pokrovsk, another major city in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region, which its troops targeted.
  • Ukrainian police said a Russian airstrike targeted a bus in the Kherson region on Monday, killing one person and injuring eight others.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had suffered heavy losses during a five-month offensive by Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region, with nearly 15,000 dead.
