Ryan Seacrest Jokes About New Year's Eve Proposals in Times Square
Ryan Seacrest agrees that anything can happen in Times Square on New Year's Eve.
Before catching up Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve on ABC, Seacrest, 50, appeared Good Morning America talking about the traditions of the show — including when someone ends up proposing to the crowd.
“Yeah, that's something that happens almost every year,” he shared People on Monday, December 30. “Some of it makes TV, some of it doesn't, but people love that moment of, 'Will you be with me for the rest of our lives?'”
ABC reporter Is Reevewho proposed to a girlfriend Amanda Dubin In New York City last month, she joked, “I should have proposed on New Year's Eve with Ryan. Amanda wouldn't say no.”
Seacrest jokingly replied, “I still have time.”

In response to Seacrest's joke on live television, Reeve said, “You've got this, Ryan. We won't rush you though.”

Seacrest admitted that “you never know what's going to happen” as temperatures drop and a million people gather in Times Square to ring in the new year.
“At that time, we are together,” she said. “Our differences do not matter for a minute or two when the year begins. That is something rare and very important and very special. It's magic to watch.”
Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest airs on ABC on Tuesday, December 31, beginning at 8 pm ET. The event will also be available for live streaming on the iHeartRadio app.
