Sinner Wins ATP Fan Favorite Award Again

Jannik Sinner top tennis – and the grace of the fans.
World No. 1 Sinner was voted Fan's Favorite Singles Player at the ATP Awards for the second year in a row.

The fans' stamp of approval capped off an impressive season that saw Sinner claim eight major Tour titles, including the Australian Open, US Open and ATP Finals.
In the US Open final, world No. 1 Sinner fired 14 aces in a 6-4, 6-4 victory. Taylor Fritz being the first person since Ivan Lendl in 1986 to capture the season-ending ATP Finals without dropping a set. Moni delighted the home fans in Turin by becoming the first Italian man to win the ATP Finals singles crown.
“I would like to thank all the fans around the world for voting for me,” said Sinner. “It means a lot to me because the votes come from all of you.
“You are the reason I love playing tennis. The support has been amazing throughout this season.”
The 23-year-old Sinner finished 2024 with a 73-6 record with three of his six losses coming against his third opponent. Carlos Alcarazbeating the hard-hitting Italian in the Indian Wells semi-finals, the Roland Garros semi-finals and the Beijing final.
Sinner made his mark as the first Italian man to finish as the year-end No. 1 and the first person since Guillermo Villas in 1977 to claim his first two Grand Slam titles in the same season. Moni also led Italy to successfully defend their Davis Cup championship, the first time Italy has successfully defended the Davis Cup.
The holder of 18 career titles, Sinner is the 19th man to earn the year-end ranking of World No. 1. Sinner's repeat as fan favorite comes a year after he swept Most Improved Player and Fan Favorite at the 2023 ATP Awards.
