Something Wiccan Comes This Way!
Here follows the review of Agatha All Along.
The structure
Set after the events of 'WandaVision', Agatha Harkness recruits other allies in her quest to regain her former powers and uncover the secrets of the Darkhold.
Update
I highly recommend watching WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness before watching Agatha All Along.
There are three stars I want to point out this time. Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza were truly magical. Kathryn Hahn graced our television screens as the mysterious Agatha Harkness. The last time we saw him he faced off against Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, and was left powerless after that brutal encounter. In Agatha All Along we see Agatha waking up from her spell and trying to regain her powers by taking a trip down the Witches' Road. This road itself presents a surprising twist that I will leave to the reader to discover.
Joe Locke makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut as Teen, a teenager who will prove to be the next favorite mysterious character in the MCU. I really enjoyed the role that Joe portrayed throughout the series and I look forward to seeing more appearances of Joe in the MCU. Joe has been stopping hearts in the Heartstopper series, and now the same is happening in Agatha All Along. Aubrey Plaza captivates us with her magical presence as Rio Vidal, a green witch with a sinister past. Aubrey delivers a death-defying performance and I can only hope we see her again in the MCU.
We get to see the performances of Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn and Patti LuPone who have made their MCU debut as witches who join Agatha on her journey. Debra Jo Rupp returns as Sharon Davis, who will be missed at WandaVision.
I intentionally left out spoilers because I don't want to spoil your own Witches Road adventure and I encourage you to watch this series immediately. Next up in the MCU we have the third season of What If which will come out in December 2024 with its amazing stories from various rich tapestry.
Agatha All Along comes with a great song on Spotify:
Throughout the series and at the end of the credits you get to see many references to the witchcraft story. Jac Schaeffer has put together an amazing story and I look forward to any future works from Jac. Agatha All Along ties in nicely with WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while leaving us hoping we haven't seen the last of Kathryn and Joe. Overall this was a spinning story with a magical twist. Watch Agatha All Along on Disney Plus and cross the witches' road. There is no post-credits scene at the end of the road unfortunately. I rate Agatha All Along a 4 out 5 stars.
