Terrorifier 3 is killing at the Box Office

Our favorite killer actor is back to break high scores in terms of both killer numbers and box office records. Damien Leone delivers a work of “Art” that is both bloody and terrifying at the same time.

“Welcome to the gallery you will never leave;

'Cuz nothing is independent as he stabs and hacks and cracks;

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder tonight;

The devil is in the details and painted white.”

Each generation will seem to have both a favorite horror character and a scream queen who will keep us entertained as long as the franchise lives on, such as Freddy Krueger and Nancy Thompson (Nightmare on Elm Street); Michael Myers and Laurie Strode (Halloween); and Ghostface with Sidney Prescott (Shout) to name a few examples. With the Terrifier franchise it is no different as we see Art the Clown and Sienna as two partners in the bloody saga. I hope we see more movies in the Terrifier franchise.

I highly recommend diving into the prequels before watching Terrifier 3 on the big screen. Here follows a breakdown of the prequels in the Terrifier franchise.

All Hallows Eve (2013)

A babysitter finds a VHS tape showing various gruesome murders by a psychotic clown. The film was released on October 29, 2013.

All Hallows Eve 2 (2015)

Although there is an All Hallows Eve 2 that was released in 2015, the movie did not feature Art the Clown, but you can still watch it as it follows its predecessor, All Hallows Eve that was released in 2013.

The structure

After surviving Art the Clown's Halloween massacre, Sienna and her brother struggle to rebuild their shattered lives. As the holiday season approaches, they try to embrace the Christmas spirit and leave behind the horrors of the past. But just when they think they're safe, Art the Clown returns, determined to turn their holiday cheer into a new nightmare. The holiday season is quickly approaching as Art unleashes his own twisted brand of terror, proving that no holiday is safe.

Update

This movie continues exactly where it left off at the end of Terrifier 2. We quickly get to know Lauren LaVera as Sienna, the main character of the movie. He plays his role very well and we see more screen time from him than his brother who also played a major role in the prequel.

As always, Terrifier 3 does not disappoint with its gory scenes and leaves you on the edge of your seat with all the killing and torture scenes orchestrated by Art the Clown. Compared to previous movies, the art explores new ways to scare the victims and the audience. From children to adults, no one is safe from the clown and his bag of tricks. David Howard Thorton plays the part of Art and delivers an excellent performance. We see a brief guest appearance from Chris Jericho from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) as well Samantha Scaffidi who returns as Vicky Heyes, who survived the first movie. This time you have more screen time too.

Lauren LaVera as Sienna Shaw (IMDb)

Although there are more victims this time around, the golden thread remains consistent with the story established from the first movie onwards. Although Sienna wasn't there in the beginning, her role is very important in the Terrifier storyline.

Unfortunately the movie doesn't leave us with a post-credits scene, but the ending is promising, which makes me confident that we haven't seen the last of Art the Clown.

I rate Terrorifier 3 a 5 out of 5. Damien Leone has brought a work of “Art” that needs to be done on the big screen. I look forward to seeing more of both Art and Sienna in the Terrifier franchise. Prepare to be shocked. I strongly advise that this movie is not for sensitive viewers. Several people walked out of the movie theater because of the intense and bad scenes in this movie. Since the story of the movie takes place during Christmas, Art the Clown is a real gift during Halloween.

Somewhere in the movie you can hear the song “A Work of Art” performed by the band, Ice Nine Kills. In the music video, you get to see some action from Art the Clown. Here's the music video too:

You can also catch the song on Spotify by browsing and following the artist:

Here's the trailer for it The Terrorizer 3 (Bloody Disgusting Horror). Find out at a cinema near you. It is important to note that the film was not available in all cinemas in Cape Town, South Africa, and I feel that it may be the same in other countries.
