The army attacked the Houthis in Yemen
The US military has confirmed it has carried out an airstrike in Yemen, saying it targeted a missile depot and command and control center operated by Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the strikes were successful on Saturday, saying they were designed to “disrupt and degrade” Houthi operations.
“CENTCOM forces have conducted deliberate strikes to disrupt and degrade Houthi operations, such as attacks on US Navy warships and merchant vessels in the Southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden,” CENTCOM said in a news release.
