The Border Patrol has arrested a South African citizen on the list of terrorists who entered the US illegally
A South African who entered the US illegally received a “good match” on a terrorist watchlist that led to his “quick” arrest in New York City.
According to the Head of the US Border Patrol, Jason Owens, the unknown man from South Africa was initially arrested in Texas on charges of violating the law, but was released.
Owens said further investigation revealed a “good match on the terrorist list.”

The successful identification of a terrorist suspect led to a swift multi-agency effort to arrest the individual in Brooklyn, New York. It is unclear how or when the suspect arrived in New York City.
“Due to the coordination of many agencies, this potentially dangerous thing was found, they were detained, and they are still waiting to be removed,” he said.
