On Monday, a polar vortex will reach the Deep South, with temperatures dropping to 32 degrees Fahrenheit in Atlanta. Wind chills will be in the 20s. On the other side of the The RockiesPlains and Midwestsome areas won't make it by single digits.

At least 19 degrees below zero temperatures are expected from the Plains to the East. The forecast temperature will be 25-30 degrees below average for this time of year.

Inauguration Day Weather Forecast for Washington, DC

For the president anointing Monday in Washington, DC, skies will be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the low 20s. Wind chills are forecast to be in the single digits.
