Managers of Today show reached back into pop culture history for its 2024 Halloween costumes.

Savannah Guthrie she has looked like Elle Woods since 2001 Legally Blonde. To take her costume up a notch, she enlisted the help of one of the movie stars, Luke Wilson. The actor, 53, reprized his role as Emmett Richmond to act out the scene where Elle meets her love interest.
“The fact that Luke became my Emmett is the next dream come true,” Guthrie, 52, said Thursday. Wilson, meanwhile, admitted he was “shocked” by the pair's swing before praising Guthrie's bend and intensity, saying, “The form seemed to be there.”
