Trump surrounded by top allies, cabinet picks at UFC 309: 'USA, USA'
President-elect Trump was flanked by cabinet appointees and elected officials as he appeared on the UFC pay-per-view card in New York City on Saturday night.
Trump was joined by top supporters of his Cabinet picks as he entered Madison Square Garden to chants of “USA, USA.”
Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, both Trump's nominees to lead the new Department of Defense, and Tulsi Gabbard, Trump's pick for director of national intelligence, joined the president-elect. He was also joined by his appointment to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, Robert Kennedy Jr.
Along with the cabinet appointments, the president-elect was joined by Speaker Mike Johnson, R-LA, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

Trump was also accompanied by UFC President Dana White – a longtime supporter of the president-elect before his political ambitions.

White, who regularly attends campaign events with Trump, held a 2001 UFC fight at the Trump Taj Mahal, a former casino hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Trump has attended UFC matches since — including during his 2024 campaign.
The stop at the historic Madison Square Garden comes after Trump made snap decisions to fill his cabinet in the weeks after winning the Nov. 5 presidential election.
on saturday, Trump is the President-elect announced that Chris Wright, CEO and founder of Liberty Energy, will lead the Department of Energy in its new administration.
“I am very pleased to announce that Chris Wright will join my Administration as the United States Secretary of Energy, and a Member of the newly established National Energy Council,” Trump said in a statement released on Saturday.

Trump's nominees and executive picks during his second administration are being announced publicly at a faster pace than during his first administration in 2016, a transition team said was due to Trump's commitment to putting “America first.”
