The 2024 college football season is the first in history with a 12-team playoff, and the first with a major reunion of the sport's major conferences after a number of programs left the Pac-12.

The first official tournament will take place just days before Trump is inaugurated in January, but the champion's visit to the White House will be the first of Trump's second term.

Trump should expect respect from the coaches and stars of this game. During Trump's first term, and even in his latest campaign, college football has been a unanimous welcome to Trump in the US. , there was applause.

No college football national champion has skipped a White House visit during Trump's first term. Meanwhile, Georgia skipped a visit to President Biden's White House in 2023.

And no known college football coach has spoken out against Trump publicly, while many have spoken favorably of the next president.

With 12 teams now in the college football playoff, it's possible that in the next three years the Trump White House could have the lowest ranked team win the national title, which could be a matter of underdog Americans.

Four WNBA seasons into the Caitlin Clark era

Trump shamefully declined to invite multiple women's basketball championship teams to the White House during his first term, including the entire WNBA championship.

Among those were the 2017 women's college basketball champion South Carolina Gamecocks, the 2017 WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx and the 2018 women's college basketball champion Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The 2018 WNBA champion Seattle Storm was not invited but made it clear that they would not have attended the event if they had.

The only time the Trump White House hosted a women's basketball team was the 2019 national champion Baylor Bears.

The WNBA champion New York Liberty are scheduled to visit Trump's White House in May. However, it is possible that they will not be invited or may not even be there if they are invited. Liberty star Breanna Stewart has been an activist for leftist values and joined protests against Trump's travel ban in January 2017, shortly after he first took office.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old star Caitlin Clark has brought a new spotlight to the game since Trump took office, and Trump himself praised Clark and suggested she earns less during an interview with her. “Let's go!” a podcast.

“He's amazing, by the way,” Trump said said of Clark. “I watched it. I think he's amazing. The shooting – I watch his shot go in, it's like, can he shoot like that in the NBA? It's unbelievable.”

Clark is likely to lead the Indiana Fever to a WNBA title in the next three years, given the rookie superstar has led the team back to the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons. If that happens, then Clark and her teammates attending the Trump White House visit will be a foundational moment in the history of the WNBA and the future of its audience.

2026 FIFA World Cup

Trump will unveil the 2026 World Cup after the final at MetLife Stadium in 2026. It was the first Trump administration to bid to host the 2026 World Cup, and now it will host it if it happens.

However, that deal was initially agreed upon with the understanding that Trump would not be president when the event took place amid concerns about the controversy it would cause in the global community. In a meeting with FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the White House in August 2018, Trump did not consider the possibility of losing the 2020 election, which opened the door for him to run again after four years and thus return to office on time. 2026 World Cup.

“In 2026, I won't be here,” Trump said at the time, according to the Associated Press.

Infantino however used his Instagram account to congratulate Trump even before his election victory in early Nov. 6. Infantino also recently moved to Miami, 70 miles south of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. FIFA appears to have an open line of communication with Trump to discuss potential challenges, such as Iran's men's World Cup qualification and the political impact it could bring.

Whether the players on the field accept Trump in two years is a different question. But Trump may avoid a medal deal with one of soccer's biggest stars, based on past deals, if one of the sport's powerhouses wins.

French star Kylian Mbappé, who led his country to a second consecutive final in 2022 before losing to Lionel Messi and Argentina, once included Trump's daughter and son-in-law; Mbappé posed with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and the French star even hugged Trump's grandchildren in the photo.

However, Mbappé also came out publicly against his country's presidential candidate, Marine Le Pen, in the French elections this year. Mbappé criticized Le Pen for his anti-immigration actions.

Mbappé could be the biggest star in soccer by 2026 at his current rate.

Four Super Bowls could involve Taylor Swift's boyfriend after Trump says he hates her

The Kansas City Chiefs could be on the last leg of their quest for a third consecutive Super Bowl when Trump is inaugurated in January. Chiefs are currently undefeated and in the best position in the league to enter the big game.

If they pull it off, it will also earn the group its first visit to the Trump White House. They were unable to make it through the summer of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their last two contests resulted in a trip to Biden's White House, where all the famous players except kicker Harrison Butker were in attendance.

But tight end Travis Kelce will have his own problem if his team gets the job done and gets invited to Trump's White House. Kelce's girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, endorsed Trump's Democratic opponent, Vice President Harris, in the last election, and has endorsed Democrats since 2018. But Swift's endorsement of Harris prompted a vicious response from Trump himself when he wrote, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” on his Truth Social site in September.

Kelce did not speak at all about politics or elections in this year's cycle. He was previously criticized by Aaron Rodgers for endorsing the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

Meanwhile, the family members of Patrick Mahomes who plays for the Chiefs showed their support for Trump in the recent election. Mahomes' mother has officially endorsed Trump, and his wife, Brittany, has liked many posts and comments on social media in support of Trump.

The Kings are a working dynasty for the NFL, and that could easily continue with President Trump in office, as well as negative White House invitations.

The only two NFL teams that received invitations to Trump's White House during his first term were the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Patriots accepted both invitations in 2017 and 2019. The Eagles tour was canceled, and the team released a statement saying it was related to Trump's stance on the players standing for the national anthem.

The Eagles are another team that could be in regular contention to win the Super Bowl throughout Trump's second term, and if they do, a second White House invitation could spark a national debate like it did the first.

2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Like the 2026 World Cup, Trump has been heavily involved in America's bid to host the 2028 Olympics. And now he is about to preside over the final year of his second term.

However, working with Trump was not publicly welcomed in the same way by the International Olympic Committee as it was by FIFA.

IOC President Thomas Bach visited the White House once in June 2017 which is part of the story of how the Olympics went.

“Pray for our world,” Bach was heard saying by cell phone later that day in Washington, DC

The IOC has yet to recognize Trump's victory as president. Asked why Trump's victory was not officially recognized last week, the IOC cited its culture of neutrality and political neutrality, according to the AP.

TRANS GOLFER DISCUSSES DECISION TO QUIT COMPETING WITH BIOLOGICAL FEMALES: 'I'M NOT A WOMAN'

A potential conflict between Trump and the IOC could arise over the issue of gender eligibility for athletes in women's sports. Trump has pledged to ban trans athletes from women's sports as part of his presidency, and has spoken out against the inclusion of boxers Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-ting. Both boxers failed gender eligibility tests at previous international tournaments.

However, the IOC has protected the inclusion of boxers. More cases may appear in 2028; i United nations it says that about 900 natural women failed to enter the podium because they were defeated by trans athletes.

NBA evening of the careers of LeBron James and Steph Curry

Not a single NBA champion attended Trump's White House tour during his first term.

LeBron James and Stephen Curry, the two players who dominated those four years, criticized Trump several times while promoting the Democratic candidates. Both endorsed Hillary Clinton in 2016, Biden in 2020 and Harris in 2024.

But both players are now nearing the end of their careers, and whether they'll even get a chance to turn down a Trump White House visit is no guarantee.
