The president-elect mentioned that after winning North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, he still has a chance to win other states such as Arizona and Michigan.
“In addition to winning the battleground states of North Carolina, and I like these places, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Now we are winning in Michigan, Arizona, Nevada and Alaska, which will result in us carrying at least 315 votes,” he said.
“We also won the popular vote,” he added.
Trump's remarks followed Harris-Walz's campaign rally earlier in the evening, where campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon encouraged supporters to go home and “get some sleep” as polls began to show Trump in the lead. Harris skipped talking to his supporters, choosing to talk to voters and the nation on Wednesday.
The chairman of the campaign, Cedric Richmond, instead gave a brief speech.
