Anti-Trump columnist for the Washington Post, George Will, offered a scathing examination of President Biden's “failed” presidency in a Wednesday column.
“Joe Biden's presidential defeat ends with a flurry of decisions that confirm the voters' rejection of his vice president, who, when asked, could not think of a mistake in his history,” Will said, adding that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris “pretended, from different sides, to be what they are not.”
The columnist said some of the president's administration “convinced him that he should be another Franklin D. Roosevelt,” “which cost him his vice presidency, who ran as a synthetic centrist who couldn't outrun his real progressives.”

The column noted that the American Rescue Plan “raised the demand for goods and services beyond the economic capacity to produce them.”
Biden's American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a $1.9 trillion package, was intended to help Americans struggling after the COVID-19 pandemic by providing stimulus payments and local funding to help rebuild the economy. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that $402.2 billion of the $1.9 trillion package is headed toward recovery checks for Americans who lost their jobs during the COVID-19 crisis.
Will continued to reinforce the spending spree of the Biden administration, highlighting that, three weeks before the 2024 election, the administration rushed to “widen open the way for spending before January 20.”
Management gave about $8 billion to Intel – a company that makes computer chips – which had lost $16.6 billion in the previous quarter. The chip-maker's CEO retired five days later, which Intel's board of directors said would open the door to “restore investor confidence,” but according to Will, “Biden's private equity investors already have high confidence.”

The Post writer also says “No former president has used mass communication in a more offensive way to more Americans than Biden with his warnings about the danger of Americans putting on 'Jim Crow 2.0' and voting for 'semi-fascism.'”
“Democrats, said Biden, will save American democracy in 2024. Saving, most likely, will begin after the Democrats finish trying to block Biden's opponent in the election and imprison him,” criticized Will.
The column continued, calling out the Biden Administration for its “extrajudicial excesses,” and citing “court condemnation” of “deportation freezes, affirmative action, student loan forgiveness, and pressure on social media companies to tighten censorship (“content moderation. “) of speech ( “disinformation”) that upsets management.”
