Women adopt a ritual to avoid leakage and discomfort during their period
Women admit to avoiding brightly colored clothing, subtly checking seats for leaks after waking up and taking regular bathroom breaks to check their pads when they're on their period. A survey of 1,000 menstruating women found that 81 percent felt concerned about leakage during their period and 65 percent experienced some degree of pad discomfort. As a result, 86 percent agree to take important steps to avoid such time problems. Monthly behaviors include avoiding wearing light clothing (61 percent), subtly checking seats if they leak when you wake up (45 percent) and adjusting daily routines to include regular bathroom breaks to check the pad (39 percent ). This study was commissioned by Always to celebrate their FlexProtect range made with SmartFoam technology that absorbs and adapts to every woman's movement. A spokesperson for the period protection brand, said, “It is clear that women should adjust their daily routines when they are on their period to avoid leakage and discomfort from the pad and accept it as normal every month.”
