Your amazing pictures of snow and ice across the UK

Parts of the UK experienced wintry scenes heading into the weekend, as cold weather and snow loomed for the start of the new year.

The harsh conditions are expected to continue next week due to Arctic air.

There are several weather warnings in place for parts of England and Wales as heavy snow and freezing rain are expected.
